Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 November 2026

Your privacy matters. Here is how MyiCue handles information when you use our snooker prediction and community app.

Who we are and how to contact us

This policy explains how the team operating MyiCue handles personal information when you browse the app, create an account, enter predictions or take part in the community. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact the MyiCue team through our Contact page. Please do not include passwords or verification codes in your message.

Information we collect

We process account information such as your name, email address, display name, account identifier and any profile details or avatar you choose to provide. We also store your prediction drafts, rankings, tie-breakers, submissions, points, standings, league participation, follows, poll votes, comments and feedback. Authentication services process sign-in credentials and verification information. Technical information may include IP addresses, device and browser details, access times, error logs and usage events.

How and why we use information

We use information to provide accounts, save predictions, calculate scores, maintain standings and leagues, display community contributions, respond to enquiries and keep the service secure. Under UK data protection law, our bases are performance of our service agreement where necessary to deliver the app, legitimate interests in operating, protecting and improving MyiCue, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where required for optional communications or tracking. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

What other people can see

Your display name, profile information you make public, standings, points and community contributions may be visible to other members or visitors. League information is available according to the league’s access arrangements. Prediction drafts and entries are subject to access restrictions; authorised administrators can access them for operation and scoring, and submitted selections may be shown when competition rules permit their release. Account email addresses and private feedback are not intended for public display. Avoid posting sensitive personal information in comments or profile fields.

Service providers and sharing

MyiCue uses service providers for hosting, account services and data storage. Other providers may support sign-in, email, operational notifications and connected social publishing. They receive information needed for their role. If you choose a third-party sign-in option, that provider processes your sign-in under its own privacy policy. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect users and the service. Public contributions can be viewed and shared by others; avoid including information you do not want made public.

Cookies, device storage and analytics

The app and its providers may use cookies or browser storage to maintain sign-in, remember preferences and support security. Where optional analytics, advertising or session recording is enabled, it may process usage and device information. Non-essential tracking requires consent where applicable law requires it. Use any privacy or consent controls presented by the service, or contact us with questions. Browser settings can clear or block storage, but doing so may affect sign-in and other features.

Communications

We may send account, security and service messages, including verification and password-reset messages, and notifications related to your activity or competitions. Optional promotional communications are subject to applicable consent rules. Use the unsubscribe link provided in promotional emails to stop those messages; essential account and security messages may still be necessary.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as needed to operate your account and competitions, maintain relevant results and records, handle enquiries and meet legal or security requirements. Retention depends on the type of information and purpose, rather than one fixed period. Some records may need to be retained or anonymised after an account closes, and backup copies may remain until their normal replacement cycle. Access controls and other technical measures help protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

International processing

Hosting and other service providers may process information outside the UK. Where international transfer rules apply, the transfer must rely on an appropriate legal mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards. Contact us for details about the arrangements relevant to your information.

Your privacy rights

Depending on your circumstances, you can request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, restriction of processing, a portable copy of certain data, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights have legal exceptions. Contact us through the Contact page; we may need to verify your identity and normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or your local data protection authority.

Automated scoring and children

MyiCue automatically calculates competition points and standings from your predictions and match results. This is game scoring, not a decision intended to have legal or similarly significant effects on you. Contact us if you believe a result needs review. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child has provided information without appropriate authorisation, contact us so we can investigate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. Where required, we will give additional notice of material changes.
